A Mirror-Thermometer is Invented in Japan. Is the Girl Still Alive?

Winter traditionally is the time when most of us get cold and flu, so when it stops being funny we start looking for thermometers and measure our temperature.

Japanese scientists came up with the idea of creating a non-contact thermometer called Thermo Mirror. The only thing you have to do is to look into this mirror and the temperature is displayed on the mirror’s surface. The cool thing about Thermo Mirror is that looks like a common mirror but is able to detect fever with the help of built-in infrared sensor.

If the temperature is too high, it will be signaled, according to Japanese media. We wonder, what will the mirror signal in case of too low temperature? Just take a look at the picture… It’s all cool, but with the temperature that is shown there we have some serious doubts if the girl in the mirror is feeling ok, and if she is actually still alive???
NEC Avio Infrared Technologies, the company that produces the Thermo Mirror sells two types of mirror thermometers priced at $ 1,180 – $ 1,440 each.
Developers believe that the thermometer-mirror will help maintain the health of people public places, including airports, train stations, which is particularly important during outbreaks of infections, including influenza.

The company said it aimed to sell 5,000 units in one year.
